Luncheon with Mr. Viktors Valainis, Minister for Economics of the Republic of Latvia and Latvian Businesses

Latvia, a member state of the European Union and NATO, is ranked #3 for renewable energy use in the Union. Latvia stands as one of the most environmentally conscious countries in Europe, with forests spanning approximately half of its land.

The capital city Riga is the 3rd largest city in Northern Europe, and Latvia`s tax system has been recognized as 2nd most competitive in the world.

Minister Valainis will discuss how Europe’s economy, politics, history and culture have put Latvia in a unique position to offer an ‘entry-point’ to the European Union and share his views on what collaboration and increased trade between the U.S. and Latvia will mean to the Baltic region.

Over twenty of top Latvian businesses are visiting Denver, CO as part of a Business Delegation to explore partnership opportunities. Among the delegation participants are executives from the largest telecommunications, sustainable energy and technology companies.

Attendees of Doing Business with Latvia will meet the delegation and explore the business opportunities in Europe.
